The Silhouettes, we can't stop admiring
This new year let us wander away from the classic silhouettes that we are always after and try new shapes. They can be just a twist on the usual shapes or an entirely new silhouette making a statement. Why not aim to turn eyes wherever you go? And how would you do that if you don’t surprise with your looks?
So, let us open our minds and our wardrobes to these current favourite silhouettes of ours:
Trench Coats for the long, sleek look
There are few things more versatile than a trench coat, if you ask us. We live in the age of minimalism, and it makes perfect sense. Wear them with a long dress, with a pair of jeans and a shirt; button them up or wear them open- trench coats can be styles anyway that you wish to. You can even wear it all on its own to a formal dinner!
Ah! The Carpenter Jeans
You are home and so are your slim-fit pairs of jeans. Why must you try to fit in them when there are more comfortable options available? Yes! The classic carpenter pants- perfectly matching the laidback lockdown attitude and a slow/lazy day. But hey! They are also beyond perfect for your other adventures if you step out of the house. Live in them; you deserve them!
We have an alternative & we call them trousers. Check them here.
Flounce it up
Are we getting back to the skirts after many months? Try a bit of flounce around the hemline. Be it a pencil skirt or summer dresses; a little ruffle can brighten it up in a jiffy. Pair them up with denim jackets or a trench coat and see the magic!
Boots need the Tunics
Do you pack away the boots as soon as winter ends? Well, we have got the best solution for you. Marry your loose-fit tunics to the tall boots. Completely different trends but can work wonders when combined with each other. Once you get this look right, you would not want to get out of it, believe us!
Bring on the Harems
Why leave behind one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing? Available in the brightest of colours and the most body-loving materials, the harem pants are extremely underrated. The silhouette can be completed by pairing it up with a fitted shirt/t-shirt. Pair it up with heavy silver jewellery for the complete look. Very retro and yet chic, this silhouette is an all-weather favourite.
In conclusion-
Let us step up our wardrobe game this year. These are different times, what stops you from being different as well? Experiment with yourself, your clothes and hair. Try on a silhouette that makes you unrecognizable, even to yourself. Break the barriers and get ready to fly!
